HOW WE INVEST

We invest financially and strategically in health care companies that fit our Invest+ Accelerate model. An ideal company will benefit as much - if not more - from the strategic partnership with UnityPoint Health as from the financial investment. We expect to invest in up to 30 companies using our $100 million Innovation Fund.

Where We’ll Invest:

Digital Therapeutics, Health IT, Tech-Enabled Services, Medical Devices and Diagnostics

Where We Won’t Invest:

Pharma, Biopharma or Drug Discovery

The companies we invest in must fit within one of the following key areas:

Care Experience
“Easier and more personal care.”

Care Delivery
“Extending the reach of the clinician and the health system.”

Care Financing
“Pursuing growth through value-based care.”

Care Innovation
“Emerging treatments and high-growth business and service lines.”

STAGE:

Seed, Series A, Series B

CHECK SIZE

$1-3 million first check

STRATEGIC VALUE

Creates substantial, measurable strategic value to UnityPoint Health with broad applicability across other health systems and providers.

TRACTION

Must be ready to partner with UnityPoint Health strategic resources. This typically looks like a contract, line-of-sight to a contract or late-stage clinical trial. We do not require revenue or regulatory approvals at the time of investment, but our investment should lead to those milestones.
